Bark
1. The exterior covering of the trunk and branches of a tree. Bark from a tree
can be used to make canoes.
2. To strip the bark from; to peel. You bark tree before sawing it into lumber.
3. To abrade or rub off the outer covering from. He barked his leg when he
stumbled.
4. The harsh, abrupt sound uttered by a dog. The dog barked whenever a car passed
the house.
5. To utter in a loud, harsh voice. The quarterback barked out the signals.
