Bite

1. A bite is a wound received from the mouth (and in particular the teeth) from an animal including a human. Children sometimes bite other kids.
2. Using the teeth to remove some of fruit, vegetable, or meat to feed yourself. He took a bite out of the apple.
3. To eat a meal. We stopped for a bite of supper.
4. A skin wound or puncture produced by an animal's teeth or mouthparts. The bite of a mosquito will cause itching. A dog bite may get infected.
