2. To let or draw blood from an animal (including humans). In ancient year doctors would bleed their patients.
3. To take large amounts of money from. The secretary began to bleed money from the company using illegal schemes.
4. To steadily lose (something vital). The company was bleeding talent.
5. To remove air bubbles from a pipe containing fluids. You must bleed the brakes.
