Bomb
1. An explosive weapon detonated by impact, proximity to an object, a timing
mechanism, or other means. The airplanes dropped bombs on Germany in the war.
2. An atomic or a nuclear bomb.
3. A portable, manually operated container that ejects a spray, foam, or gas
under pressure. We used a bug bomb to defend us against mosquitos.
4. Slang. A dismal failure: a fiasco. The movie was a bomb.
5. Football. A very long forward pass intended to gain great yardage in a
single play. The quarterback threw a bomb at the end hoping to win the game.
