Canteen

1. A flask for carrying water; used by soldiers or travelers. I carried a canteen in Korea during the war.
2. Sells food and personal items to personnel at an institution or school or camp etc. The USO established canteens for the soldiers.
3. A restaurant outside; often for soldiers or policemen. We are lunch at the canteen.
4. A recreation room in an institution. They played cards at the base canteen.
5. Restaurant in a factory; where workers can eat. The company canteen is open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M.
