Fifth

1. The ordinal form of the number five. First, second, third, fourth, and fifth are examples of ordinal numbers.
2. The person or thing in the fifth position. I was the fifth person in the line.
3. One of five equal parts of a whole. I got a fifth of the pie to eat.
4. A quantity of liquor equal to one-fifth of a gallon. The two of them drank a fifth of brandy.
5. The musical interval between one note and another five tones higher. An example if a fifth interval is the notes of C, D, E, F, and G.
