Goose

1. Any of various wild or domesticated water birds of the family Anatidae, and especially of the genera Anser and Branta, characteristically having a shorter neck than that of a swan and a shorter, more pointed bill than that of a duck. We raised white Chinese geese in past years.
2. The female of such a bird. The goose laid about 10 eggs and sat on them to hatch.
3. The flesh of such a bird used as food. We had goose for our Thanksgiving dinner.
4. Slang. To poke, prod, or pinch (a person) between or on the buttocks. He playfully goosed his friend.
5. A silly person. She acted like a goose when she drank too much.
