Hop

1. A short jump. He hopped over the log.
2. A jump on one leg.
3. A bounce, especially from the ground, of a thrown or bated ball. The ball took a hop and went over the player.
4. A dance. We did the bunny hop.
5. To move frequently from one place to another similar one. We were party hopping this weekend.
6. To suddenly take a mode of transportation that one does not drive oneself, often surreptitiously. I hopped a plane to California.
7. To be in a state of energetic activity. Sorry. I can't talk. I've got to get hopping.
