Jacket

1. A short coat usually extending to the hips. We wear a jacket when it's chilly and coat when it's cold.
2. An outer covering or casing, especially: I eat the skin of a potato. The dust jacket of a book helps keep the book looking fresher.
3. The outer metal shell or case of a bullet. The jacket of the bullet was mangled.
