Kick

2. The action of swinging a foot or leg. The dancer gave a high kick and a leap.
3. Something that tickles the fancy; something fun or amusing. I got a kick out
of seeing that show.
4. A stimulation provided by an intoxicating substance. The whiskey had quite a
kick.
5. A recoil of a rifle or gun. The rifle gave her quite a kick.
6. An increase in speed in the final part of a running race. With a final kick
he pulled into first place.
