Kite

1. Plaything consisting of a light frame covered with tissue paper; flown in wind at end of a string. We love to fly our big kite on the beaches of the windy Oregon coast.
2. Any of the various predatory birds of the hawk family. The white-tailed kite is a common winter bird in Oregon.
3. A bank check that has been fraudulently altered to show a larger amount. He kited my check to steal money from me.
