Load
1. A burden; a weight to be carried. I struggled to carry that heavy load.
2. A certain number or quantity of material that can be transported or
processed at one time. She put a load of clothes in the washing machine.
3. The volume of work required to be performed. Will my secretary be able to
handle that load of typing.
4. The electrical current or power delivered to a device. That heat is too much
load for that circuit.
5. (often in plural) A large amount. I got loads of presents for my birthday.
