Lot
1. A distinct portion or plot of land, usually smaller then a field. We lived
next to a vacant lot.
2. A large quantity or number ; a great deal. He spent a lot of money.
3. A number of people taken collectively. Those workers were a sorry lot.
4. All member of a set; everything. If I were the boss, I'd fire the lot of
them.
5. A separate portion; a number of things taken collectively. We need a lot of
envelopes.
6. That which happens without human design or forethought; chance or without
planning. It was my lot to fail.
