Matter

1. The basic structural component of the universe. Matter usually has mass and volume.
2. A kind of substance. It was made entirely of vegetable matter
3. An approximate amount or extent. We will be done in a matter of months.
4. A condition, subject or affair, especially one of concern. What is the matter with Sally?
5. Written material (especially books or magazines). She took some reading matter when traveling on the plane.
6. To be important. The only thing that matters is that you tell the truth.
