Outlet
1. A vent or similar passage to allow the escape of something. The hole in the
fence was an outlet for the rabbit.
2. A store that sells the goods of a particular manufacturer or wholesaler.
That Gap store was the local outlet for the factory.
3. A river that runs out of a lake. The Long Tom River is an outlet of the Fern
Ridge Reservoir.
4. A wall-mounted device such as a socket or receptacle connected to an
electrical system. Each room has at least one electrical outlet.
5. Something which allows for the release of one's desires. Sports was an
outlet for the boy's energy.
