1. Any of various cold-blooded vertebrate including tortoises, turtles, snakes, lizards, alligators, crocodiles. Many ladies have a tendency to be afraid of reptiles.
2. A person regarded as despicable or treacherous. By his actions, many thought of him as a reptile.
