Robe

1. A long, loose, flowing outer garment. Each member of the choir wore a matching red robe.
2. An official garment worn on formal occasions to show office or rank, as by a judge or high church official. The judge wore a black robe.
3. An academic gown. Each graduate wore the robe suitable to their degree awarded to them.
4. A dressing gown or bathrobe. Do not wear a bath robe to the dinner table.
