1. Limbless scaly elongate reptile. Some snakes are venomous.
2. A treacherous person. She had the reputation of being somewhat of a snake.
3. To drag or pull lengthwise, especially to drag with a rope or chain. With great effort we managed to snake the truck out of the big ditch.
