1. A flow of water in a channel or bed, as a brook, rivulet, or small river. The boys played in the stream on a hot day.
2. A steady current in such a flow of water. A steady stream of water flowed from the broken pipe.
3. A beam or ray of light. The light streamed through a break in the clouds.
