Toe

1. One of the digits of a vertebrate. The forepart of a foot or hoof. He stubbed his toe on the broken step.
2. The part of a sock, shoe, or boot that covers the digits of the foot. One sock had a hole in the toe.
3. The terminal segment of an invertebrate's limb. Some animals walk on hooves at the tips of their toes.
