Vault

1. A strongroom or compartment for safekeeping of valuables. We keep our gold in a vault.
2. An arched structure, usually made of stone, brick, or concrete, forming the supporting structure of a ceiling or roof. The simplest kind of vault is the barrel vault.
3. A burial chamber, especially when underground. The body was placed in a vault.
4. To jump or leap, especially with the use of the hands or a pole. He easily vaulted over the fence.
