Birch

1. Any of various deciduous trees or shrubs of the genus Betula, having toothed leaves and bark that often peels in thin paper layers. Birch wood is suitable for veneer, and birch plywood is among the strongest and most dimensionally stable plywoods, although it is unsuitable for exterior use.
