1. A slender pointed missile, often having tail fins, thrown by hands. My dart struck the exact center of the target.
2. A games using such a missile. We enjoy a game of darts.
3. A sudden or rapid movement. In a flash, the boy darted into the street.
4. A tapered tuck sewn to adjust the fit of a garment. We sewed in some tucks and the dress fit her again.
