Maple Tree

1. Any of a number of deciduous trees or shrubs of the Genus Acer having opposite palmate leaves and long winged fruits. A number of maples grow around our home.
2. The wood of such a tree. Our dining room table is made of maple.
3. The flavor of the sap of the sugar maple. Many cookies use maple in their recipe.
