Paddle

1. A wooden implement having a blade at one or both ends, used without an oarlock to propel a canoe or small boat. We paddled the canoe up the river for miles.
2. A flattened board used to administer physical punishment. The teacher used a paddle on the unruly student.
3. A light wooden racket used in playing table tennis. We picked up our paddles and began to play.
