Skunk

1. Any of several small mostly carnivorous New World mammals having a busy tail and glossy black fur with white markings and ejecting a foul-smelling oily liquid from glands near the anus when frightened or in danger. Do not provoke a skunk unless you want to smell bad.
2. Slang. A person regarded as obnoxious or despicable. My boss was considered a skunk by most of the employees.
3. To defeat overwhelmingly, especially by keeping from scoring. We skunked them 50 to nothing.
