Vent

1. An opening permitting the escape of fumes, a liquid, a gas, or steam. Steam began to come out of the vent in the kitchen wall.
2. A fissure in a planet's surface from which geothermally heated water issues. Lassen Volcanic National Park has many steam vents at a number of locations.
