Antlers

1. A pair of hornlike, bony, deciduous growths, usually elongated and branched, on the head of a deer, moose, elk, caribou, or other member of the deer family. In most arctic and temperate-zone species, antler growth and shedding is annual, and is controlled by the length of daylight.
