Sky blue is the name of a color, first recorded in English in the 1728 Cyclopӕdia of Ephraim Chambers. Prior to the Chambers reference, the color had first been used in 1585 in a book by Nicolas De Nicolay where he stated "the tulbant of the merchant must be skie coloured." Displayed at left is the web color light sky blue.

Celeste (pronounced che-les-te in Italian, se-les-te in Spanish and Se-lest in English) is the colloquial name for the pale turquoise blue colour associated with the Italian Bianchi Bicycle Company and sometimes known as Bianchi Green. In Italian, as the name indicates (Celestial), it is an attempt to reproduce the colour of clear skies. In English, this colour is may be also be referred to as Italian sky blue.
