Mammal Stereotypes - Goats - 14 - Page 2

Here we highlight some cartoon shows that help set the stereotype for the bird.

A goat needs another goat to butt heads and play with or he will be miserable. If he is alone, he is butting you because he is lonely, bored, frustrated, and has no one else to play with. Goats are herd animals and should never be kept by themselves. He will never be a happy, enjoyable goat as long as he is living by himself. That is just a fact of having goats...they can not live by themselves without developing nasty attitudes. The stress of living alone can actually make them sick.

Goats are reputed to be willing to eat almost anything, including tin cans and cardboard boxes. While goats will not actually eat inedible material, they are browsing animals, not grazers like cattle and sheep, and (coupled with their highly curious nature) will chew on and taste just about anything remotely resembling plant matter to decide whether it is good to eat, including cardboard, clothing and paper (such as labels from tin cans). Another possibility is goats are curious about the unusual smells of leftover food in discarded cans or boxes.
