This scene depicts Zu Chongzhi (409--500) the Southern Dynasty renowned mathematician. He was the first in the world to calculate the girth quotient to seven decimal point. Later mathematicians, arranged (the Ming Dynasty to undergo) create the most precise calendar at that time!
