Gate of Peace and Longevity

Ning Shou Men (Gate of Peace and Longevity), was built in 1668 (27th year of Ching Emperor Kang Hsi's reign). The palaces north of the gate were built or rebuilt on the orders of Ching Emperor Chien Lung as his quarters in retirement.
