4. Children's Choir - 1995

The Church has many Choirs for all ages. You have to be very good to sing in the main Choir. They start them out at an early age. The members were always so kind to us. One old lady of 100 years of age always spoke to us each Sunday. We had a Church Hymnal that had the words written in English Characters so we could sing the Xiamen dialect with everyone else. Because we could sing in their language they all assumed we could speak Chinese in the Xiamen dialect. The Xiamen dialect is so different that other Chinese cannot understand them. When we went back to visit in 1999 we were greeted by many people and the pastors as old friends. Many came to shake our hands. We have many very good friends in Xiamen even today.
