6. Church Congregational Singing

We left our hotel at 7:30 in the morning to get to the church. We arrived there about 8:00 and parked our car. The church service had not started yet but in most Chinese churches spend the first hour practicing the hymn for the day. When we arrived the hymn practice still went on. The leader sings just one line of the song and then the congregation sings the same line. They sang the "Wonderful Words of Jesus." We have a hymnal with both the Chinese characters and English words.
