60. Fuyang, Anhui - 7,599,918

Fuyang is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Anhui Province, People's Republic of China. It borders Bozhou to the northeast, Huainan to the southeast, Lu'an to the south, and the Province of Henan on all other sides. The prefecture-level city of Fuyang administers eight county-level divisions, including three districts, one county-level city and four counties. Centered by Yingzhou (present city proper of Fuyang), its southern area was exploited first, while the northern region was changed later along with the ups and downs of Bozhou. Historically, Yingzhou and Bozhou are interrelated, but relatively independent. The domains of the two places were first unified during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was not until the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) that the name Yingzhou was changed to Fuyang.
