225. Tianmen, Hubei - 1,731,482 Formerly known as Jingling, it was renamed to Tianmen in 1726 during Qing Dynasty. Situated in the north subtropical monsoonal climate, It covers a total area of 2622 square kms. It has abundant sunshine but wet. The city's history goes back a very long way. Archaeologists, in fact, claim a castle they have excavated in Tianman dates back to 4000 BC. As a tourist city along the Yangtze River, Tianmen is the one of great beauty, combining rivers culture and city as an integral whole.
