Chinese Agricultural and Rural Scenes 21. Tea Cultivation The cultivation of tea requires a great deal of hand labor, both to weed the plants and to harvest the crop. Here the ladies are weeding the fields. When they harvest the tea they use baskets tied to their back. They pick the ripe tender leaves with both hands and pass the leaves over their head into the basket. Each area of China produces "The Best Tea in China."
