5. Thrashing the Wheat

There are tens of thousands of acres of winter wheat planted in the Henan area. It is getting ready to harvest soon. I saw about 40 combines in a column traveling down the highway heading west. I suspect they will be making the circuit harvesting and moving eastward as the crops ripen in their turn. Here they still thrash the wheat by hand. Picture by my friend Dot Garlow.
