9. Eating Out in China

A Chinese New Year Dinner

Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday in China. It lasts for almost a week. Many people get the week off. Most families have a great family get together on New Year's Eve. We were invited to join the Li family for the festival. Sally Li was one of our best students at Lujiang University in 1994. We visited there again with the family in 1999. You eat all night long with a number of traditional foods. It was a great honor to be invited to this family dinner. Most homes do not have heat in their homes.
