9. Betsy at the Great Wall

Here is Betsy with us at the Great Wall. Betsy is a medical doctor. When Paul had a bad case of penicillin shock and had no heartbeat for 6 1/2 minutes Betsy told him that much longer and he would not be as clever and he was before. She was one of our best students and spoke English very well in a short time. We got a scholarship with pay at the Oregon Health Science Center in Portland, Oregon to get a MD Degree, but the Chinese government would not let her go. She is a good friend and we visited her in Chengdu in 1999.
