5. Bell

Because of these virtues, Guan Yu has been elevated to a Shen (god) and there are even temples built in his name. In most Chinese temples a figure of the red-faced, bushy-bearded Guan Gong can be found.

This famous fighter was born in the late second century. The year and date of his birth cannot be confirmed because of the absence of conclusive evidence. However, it has been ascertained that he died in the early third century when he was in his late fifties. Worshippers celebrate his birthday on the 13th day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar.
