We took a plane from Chengdu to Guiyang. It is an hour-long flight. Adam Fang had invited us to visit his home in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. They met us at the airport and arranged for a hotel room for us. We had dinner at their home and met the entire family. They were the most hospitable family and made us feel at home with old friends. Adam's cousin Mr. Gu Yong, a law student was so helpful to my Aunt Polly who needed help walking to all the places we visited. He was at her side all the time and made her feel so safe and comfortable. Guizhou is not on the normal tourist places but we enjoyed it so much. It was a chance to see a part of China that is so much of normal life in China and away from the hectic bustle of the tourist towns. Everyone was so kind to us and we have such good memories of our visit.
