9. Granite Peaks of Huangshan

Huangshan has many peaks that many Chinese know by name, often through thousands of poems describing these as China's most beautiful mountains. Three peaks best-known have the names of Lotus Flower Peak (Lianhuafeng), Bright Summit (Guangmingding), and the Heavenly Capital Peak (Tiandufeng). Each reaches heights over 1,800 meters (6,000 feet) and all can be climbed via endless stone stairs, some as steep as ladders.
