My wife and I have lived in China for five years, two years in Chengdu, one in Kunming, one in Xiamen, and this year in Xinzheng. It was our first chance to visit a peasant family to see the real China. These are the fundamental people that created the People's Republic of China. Ke's mother and father were both extremely proud of Lewis and his good studies. Lewis Ke is doing well in his studies and works very hard by studying hard each night. Lewis graduated in 2002 from SIAS University. Lewis's farther is on the left, his sister on the far right and his mother next to her. When we left China I "loaned" Lewis my computer. Our visit (by a University Vice-President) made a great deal of difference to the other student's relations to Lewis. That was part of our intention.
