18. Sam's Uncle Helps Us

After we had returned from Huangshan Sam's Uncle met us at the tourist agency office. We had just ridden on the bus for 8 hours and were quite tired. We arrived in Hefei about 3:00 PM and our train for Beijing left at 10:00 PM. We had 7 hours to spend in Hefei. This kind gentleman took us to a hotel and paid for two rooms, one for Bernice and me and one for Sam. There we spent about 4 hours resting and showering. At 7:00 PM he came for us and took us to dinner. and a very fine restaurant. We appreciated his help so much. Here you see Sam, Bernice and Uncle in front of the restaurant. A very typical fine Chinese restaurant, you can see the two lovely Chinese ladies that greet you standing in the doorway of the restaurant. They will escort you to your private room to dine.
