8. Yangzi River Gorge

When we traveled down the river it was in the dead of the summer. It was quite hot. They don't recommend going down the river during that part of the year but we had to go when we had the vacation time. Even though it was hot we had a good time. And it was infinitely better than having never gone at all. While nobody could speak English, people were most friendly to us and we talked via sign language and gestures.
