2. City of Zigong

On January 2, 1988, our boss, Boss Yang treated us to a trip to Zigong in Sichuan Province. Zigong is 200 km south of Chengdu. As early as the second century natural gas was used here to separate salt from the brine in Zigong. By 1600, brine was being extracted from more than 1 km below the surface. We thought it was a beautiful city and much off the beaten tourist track.
