Beijing Opera - "Records of Upright Officials"

Pan Hong with a watery white full face in the opera "Records of Upright Officials," adapted from episodes in "Romance of the Yang Family." Pan Hong, grand tutor of the Song emperor, has libeled and persecuted generals of the Yang family on many occasions. He is convicted and sentenced to death by Kou, an upright judge. During the trial, Pan's wife tries to bribe the judge but he declines all her gifts.
