Su Chao with a blue three-tile face stars in the opera "Daming Prefecture." He is the garrison commander of the prefecture. When Lu Junyi, an official of the prefecture. is jailed on a false charge, the outlaws decide to rescue him. Using a ruse devised by their counsellor Wu Yong, the outlaws enter Daming in disguise on the night of the Lantern Festival, surprise and capture Su Chao, and free Lu Junyi.
