The menu had been picked out by Michael and Sky. This allows them to choose a type of dinner and food I have never been exposed to. After 18 years in China and great number of diners in all areas of China such surprise can be good or problematic thing. But I always expect the best. And Michael knows me well enough to understand the things I like and the reverse. A pan arrives and a pat of oil set into it. Heat applied and dinner starts. Adventure awaits me.
